Lack of funding has forced Thorn Creek Nature Center to lay off its paid naturalists and rely on volunteers until funds become available, possibly in January 2012.
Volunteers are welcome to join members of the Thorn Creek Audubon Society and others who are keeping the center open from noon to 4 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
