A Quiet Girl Named Carmen: Adopt Me!
This week, we're featuring Carmen, an adult pitbull terrier mix.
Meet Carmen. She's a calm, quiet two-year-old who has been trained to recognized the words "sit" and "down," according to South Suburban Humane Society staff. When Carmen was rescued and brought to the shelter it was discovered she had heartworm. She was treated and her last test was negative, according to SSHS staff. Carmen will need to have routine tests to make sure she remains heartworm negative. She loves car rides and being around people. Carmen has been spayed.
To learn more about Carmen, visit her listing on the South Suburban Humane Society's (SSHS) website!

I am a volunteer at SSHS and have walked Carmen for the past few months everytime I have gone in. Carmen is an awesome dog and totally deserves to be in a loving home! Don't let the heartworm scare you off, it's not contaigous to other pets or you... and she tested negative for it now so she's well on her way to recovered. She's a total sweetheart who just wants a family to call her own.
