A Walk in the Gardens and a Movie in the Park: Weekend Planner

• Join the Chicago Heights Park District for our 12th Annual Movie in the park. Bring your blankets, lawn chairs and enjoy a family movie at Commissioners Park.

• Date: Saturday, July 7
• Time: 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
• Place: , 311 Chicago Rd, Chicago Heights
• Join the Chicago Heights Park District for an exiting park event. Bring your bike for a free bike inspection and participate in the Chicago Heights Police Department's 25th Annual Bicycle Rodeo.

• Time: 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
• Place: , 1527 Otto Blvd, Chicago Heights
• Price: Tickets $20 in advance, $25 on July 7
• Union Street Gallery is showcasing 8 inspiring local gardens in Chicago Heights and Flossmoor. There will be working artists creating art in every garden, reflecting the beauty and peace of each environment through painting, drawing, sculpting or the written word. 

• Where: 333 Dixie Hwy, Chicago Heights
• Date: Saturday, July 7 
• Time: 8 a.m. - 1 p.m.
• An open air farmers market featuring growers, artisans, crafters, farmers, bakers, distributors, re-purposed goods, fundraising events and lemon shake-ups and hot dogs.  Vendor fee is $10 for a 10x10 space.
