Baseball: Rich Central, House Raise the Roof vs. Bloom

Rich Central 4, Bloom Township 1. Playing first game in a week, Olympians roll behind the solid pitching of Tyler House.

Touching All the Bases: Rich Central had been eager to get back out on the diamond after not playing since April 14. Couple that with the fact pitching standout Tyler House had not thrown since the St. Rita game two weeks ago, and Bloom Township was bound to be in trouble. House was unhittable the first time through the order and struck out the side in the first inning. The Olympians plated two runs in the bottom of the first on an RBI single and a wild pitch.

House continued to roll along, setting down the first 10 Blazing Trojans of the game.  Dan Morsoville broke up the perfect game in the fourth with a one-out single and came around to score later in the inning on an RBI single by Nick Egan. That was the lone run and only threat of the game for the Blazing Trojans against House.

The Olympians plated two more runs in the fifth inning to close out the scoring. They were aggressive on the bases and put down three key bunts, which came during the innings in which they scored their runs.
