he's not a sham of a politician he was always a flawed pol and human. He took office under a cloud of a conspiracy which has gone under the radar.
The only good to come out of this is the attention he gave to mental illness but it will go away he like all pol's his staff and family have successfully sheltered him out of harms way for 17 years.
Unfortunately the believers in the district who voted for him knew nothing about him and the tragedy of mental illness, he like all pol's seemed ok to the voters because they seen him once every 2 years.
The other leeches who think these perks are a right while are trying to deny the right to every American to have a safety net and turn back the clock on SSA and MEDICARE.
The criminals and hypocrites get the same treatment as JJJ or Cadillac CARE and the governor closes the only Mental Inst in the area sending those that need care on the street or to a nursing home where they will compete with gang bangers and seniors for care.
It is a disgusting situation for us in this sorry state because of corruption and fraudulent flawed pol's like JJJJ. We are at the mercy of unscrupulous politicians of both parties and even independents who have no clue.
There are twice as many people on the Planet as there were when JJJ was born as the TPART CUTS and destroys the safety net turn back 60 years of progress the good news is fewer of us are drinking the Kool Aid, let's send a rep with a brain this time no ministers or charlatans.

Let me correct you, the independent in the race was there to be the new beginning we in this district needs. I believe this and we must recognize that either we be a help or sit down and stop complaining. let me correct u we have needed a rep since George Sangmeister represented the 3rd and the south burbs were redistricted into the 2nd district to get GUS SAVAGE out of office it took a redistricting and conspiracy of the D and Bloom GOP machine which was very potent at the time but now is part of the D or Madigoon machine the state rep was a GOP MAYOR before he was a DEM, u received votes because voters could not vote for JJJ or THE TPARTY that was then good luck and my last tip don't stand up in a canoe!

JJJ is a sham for many reasons - he is hiding under the guise of "mental illness". While it is bringing mental illness to the forefront - it is all for the wrong reasons. This is showing that anyone "in trouble" can say I have a mental illness and that why I did what I did. It really detracts from the people that really suffer with mental illness. JJJ knew he was caught and he was looking for a way out with the best way of gaining sympathy and forgiveness via scamming the people. While he is only human - he is held to a higher standard due to HIS chosen profession and by his own public statements in he past - and the "i'm only human" excuse doesn't cut it. Why they offered him a deal is beyond me - no deal was given to Ryan or Blago as far as I'm concerned he should be sitting in the cell next to them!

The purpose of this election should be to upgrade our representation. Butch, I don't see what is gained by voting online or mail. Are we all too lazy to make our way to the poll on voting day?? Do we really needs weeks and weeks of voting?? We already have early voting and absentee voting. The GOP is done in Illinois. The GOP is done nationally. The demographics of all of the swing states is changing and I'm not sure we can win another presidential election. GOP can not attract the black and hispanic voting blocks. The white vote is close enough to call it split between the two parties. That leaves black, hispanic, et al. to decide the outcome. It's been said that the GOP is not inclusive enough. What would the GOP have to do to get a significant number of blacks to vote on our side?? What would the GOP have to do to get a significant number of hispanics to vote on our side?? I don't see it happening.

So why are u and the TPARTY keep trying to throw roadblocks, eliminate, purge millions of voters fix election machines have one pooling station in a county in some states cut back on early voting and on and on, hint they need to to survive and so will the Dem's eventually if they do not get the dirty money out of elections.
