Great video about a wonderful man! Lou was an outstanding high jumper as well, and was one of the pioneers who helped put Bloom Track on the map.

Chicago Heights is loaded with colorful history ( no pun intended). Our good out-weigh our bad.

I agree with you Arthur. Chicago Heights area has some of the greatest people you will ever meet. It was an honor to listen to Dr. Irons story. No matter what happens in Chicago Heights, most of the residents are proud to be here and work hard to keep it a great city. There are so many heroes stories that need to be told from Chicago Heights, so please contact Chris and keep them coming on Patch.com!
