UPDATE: Oak Forest's Kyle Hullinger is Patch MVP

Oak Forest football standout Kyle Hullinger outpolled 10 others in voting for Southland Patch's MVP, Oct. 22-28. Hullinger is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Patch's MVP for Oct. 22-28, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Lincoln-Way East's Moe Almasri picked up a bounding ball on the opening kickoff and returned it 81 yards for a touchdown in the Griffins' 47-22 victory over Plainfield Central in the opening round of the Class 7A playoffs.

Lincoln-Way Central's Maria Brown did it on offense and defense in the Knights' 25-19, 23-25, 25-21 volleyball victory over Marist in the Class 4A regional final at Lincoln-Way North. Brown finished with 12 kills and nine digs.
Stagg's Jill Conrad turned in one of her best all-around performances in the Chargers' 27-29, 25-23, 25-21 volleyball victory over Marian Catholic in the Class 4A regional final. Conrad racked up 21 assists, nine kills and eight service points.
