Attack of the Roommate

A 25-year-old University Park woman told police she was visiting her boyfriend in Chicago Heights when she got into an argument with his roommate about the roommate's ex-girlfriend. The angry roommate then punched the woman in the face before fleeing, according to the report.

Threats from Mr. Honeysucker?

Ryan Honeysucker, 27, of the 200 block of Ingleside Avenue in Glenwood, was arrested and charged with domestic assault after his ex-girlfriend told police he had been sending threatening text messages saying he was going to "send someone to get her," according to the report. The woman also told police Honeysucker threatened to batter her.

FRIDAY, DEC. 30

Brutal Beating from Michael Jackson?

Michael J. Jackson, 31, of the 1300 block of Mason Court, was arrested and charged with domestic battery after he and his girlfriend had been in a violent argument in front of her 2-year-old daughter, according to the report. Reports show the girlfriend told police Jackson was drunk and slapped her in the head several times before pushing her onto the couch and punching her in the chest with a closed fist.

Disorderly Conduct

Charles Lundquist, 52, of the 100 block of West 10th Street, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct police discovered he had defecated on the floor and walls of the mens bathroom at the Chicago Heights Public Library, police said.

Damaged Property

Police took a 20-year-old Chicago Heights man into custody after seeing him flee out of a vacant house in the 1600 block of Aberdeen Street, according to the report. The house had sustained window damage, and the bathroom sink and toilet had been torn from the wall, police said. There was also damage to drywall and copper piping, according to the report.

THURSDAY, DEC. 29

Full House

Five Chicago Heights teens were arrested and charged with trespassing after a property manager discovered they were living in a vacant property owned by a Dyer, IN, company, according to the report. Darrius Griffin, 18; Jimmie Johnson, 19; Tyrone Johnson, 18; Deron White, 18, and an unidentified 17-year-old were all found in the bedrooms of the vacant property in the 1200 block of Division Street, police said.

House Fire

A 41-year-old Chicago Heights man was installing insulation in the attic of his Raye Street home when a work light was knocked over, causing the insulation to smolder, according to the report. The man notified the , which put out the fire. The house is still habitable, according to police.

Weird Question

A 21-year-old Chicago Heights man told police he received about 40 calls to his mobile phone from an unknown younger male asking if he is "black and/or gay."
