Juvenile Battery

A 14-year-old Chicago Heights boy was charged with battery, according to the report. Witnesses inside a home in the 1300 block of Franklin Avenue told police the boy became irate around 12:45 p.m. after he thought someone stole his $40. He reportedly threw a chair into a chandelier and the flying chards of glass cut a woman on the face. He then grabbed the woman by the neck and threatened to kill her, according to the report.

He has been charged as a juvenile.

Drunk in Public

Hector Hinojosa Jr., 41, of the 0-100 block of 25th Street in Chicago Heights, was charged with public intoxication, according to the report. Police said Hinojosa disrupted a medical center at St. James Hospital with loud noises around 10:30 a.m.

Panhandling

John D. Williams, 43, of the 0-100 block of Apache Street in Park Forest, was charged with criminal trespass, public intoxication and panhandling. Police said Williams had been warned to stay away from a restaurant in the 400 block of 14th Street but returned around 11 p.m. asking for money and food. He was carrying a 40-ounce Steel Reserve at the time, according to the report.

Damaged Rental Home

Police are looking for a 25-year-old black man who may have damaged a home he rents in the 400 block of 15th Street, according to the report. A roommate told police the man came home irate around 4 a.m. and threw their television and weights, damaging drywall and windows before fleeing into the night.

Domestic Battery

Chicago Heights residents Ignacio Franco, 43, of the 0-100 block of Main Street, and Lucino De La Cruz, 26 or 27, of the 0-100 block of Vista Avenue, were charged with domestic battery. Police said Franco was arguing with a man inside De La Cruz’s home around 4 a.m. about beer when she began scratching his neck. De La Cruz then tossed the man out of his home, according to the report.
