VOTE: Who's the Most-Trusted Veterinarian in the Southland?

Don't miss the opportunity to vote for who you feel is the BEST veterinarian in your community or a surrounding town. Your preferred vet or clinic could be named the best veterinarian in the Southland!

When it comes to your pets, you're not about to trust just anyone with their care.

The relationship between Fido and his doc is a tricky one, and once you find the right fit, you're loyal clients. Pet parents never know when an emergency might arise, and it's nice to know where to turn.

That's why we, at Patch, look to YOU.

So we want to know—Who's your preferred veterinarian in the Southland?

VOTE: Readers nominated the options below. To cast your vote, select an option in the poll at the bottom of the article. Also make sure to tell us why you picked your favorite in the comments.

To vote, you must be logged in to your free Patch account. Don't have one? Click "Join" in the upper right corner. The winner will be determined by poll votes only, not reviews or comments.

Voting ends Aug. 17.

Dr. Bowan and his staff at OaK Village Animal Hospital have been taking care of my Duke and many of my friend's pets for many years. They are wonderful. My dog loves going there.

Oh my gosh, GLENSTED ANIMAL HOSPITAL in Glenwood, on Halsted. Drs. Amarati and Campbell have been taking excellent care of our pets for decades!

Agreed. Glensted is the best! I see that they have been left off the ballot again. For shame.

Drs. Campbell and Amarati at Glensted are simply the best diagnosticians in the entire area. Their interest, compassion, and follow-up are most extraordinary. Leaving them off of your ballot makes the entire exercise a COMPLETE FRAUD! Don't waste your time.

WA Mama, Mike B, and Alice and Jeff,
Glenwood is out of range of this Patch region (there's no Glenwood Patch site, and therefore no business listing) so I'm sure leaving Glensted off the ballot was not out of malice. Thanks for leaving your comments, though, as I'm sure it's helpful for readers looking for a veterinarian in that area.

Sorry...Dr. Hubert killed a family members English Bulldog! He failed to do the necessary bloodwork, warn of the possible risks of the anesthesia he was using, and lacked the necessary background to work on Bulldogs. I would never recommend this place!

Dr. Attig IS the best! Totally agree about how calming, sympathetic, rational & definately accurate she is. I moved to Aurora 4 years ago & will travel 55 minutes to have her take care of my dog & cat. I've gone to 4 other vets over 42 years of owning pets & have stuck with Dr. Attig for the last 20 to 22 years. Best pet care around!

I agree with Cathleen. Dr. Linda Attig of Orland Park Small Animal Clinic is the best. It's obvious that she truly loves and cares about animals. And everyone else who works there is great also.

You didn't mention All Pets Animal Hospital in Lockport! They are the best! They helped me get rehabilitation for my one GSD I had, pancreatis and diabetes under control for one of my other GSD Mix who also lost eye sight and directed me to Dr. Lindley to replace his lenses. I have 8 current "kids" that they currently treat!

Just like all the other polls....if they weren't nominated in the first phase of the voting they didn't get included in this final voting phase. These contests were a great idea, but once nominations were done, the comments should have been disabled on the polling pages. People are missing the point if they didn't know about the nomination phase.

Dr. Rauch, Dr. K and Dr. Willardat Flossmoor Animal Hospital have both given my cats, Angel-Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, and Jelly Bean the best care. In fact my sister and brother both live in Chicago but bring their dogs to FAH.

Hands down, the best veterinary care in the Southland comes from Lepar! The staff is excellent, they have a diverse staff that specializes in a wide scope of medical issues and they show genuine care when dealing with the owner and the pet. I cannot recommend them enough!
