One of two people accused of endangering the life of a 15-year-old girl who overdosed on heroin reportedly supplied by the pair has pleaded guilty.

Nicolette Martinu, 20, pleaded to one misdemeanor count of endangering the life of a child.

She was sentenced to 10 days in the Cook County Sheriff's SWAP, a manual labor program for nonviolent misdemeanors and traffic offenders, and receive six months of court supervision. She will also have to pay $284 in court costs.

Matthew Lefebvre, 19, was also charged in the case and remains in custody. His next court date is set for Jan. 29.

ORLAND PARK — State Produces EMS Reports in Elderly Carjacking Case

Hospital records are among the latest pieces of evidence exchanged in the case against Peter Sousan, 24, who is accused of fracturing an 88-year-old woman's leg as he kicked her and stole her car last summer.

Sousan is in custody on felony vehicular hijacking charges and for violating court supervision in an unrelated case. He is scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 5.
 
ORLAND PARK — State Gathers Computer Evidence in Former OP Firefighter Child Porn Case 

Prosecutors have received more evidence from a computer in the felony possession of child pornography case against former Orland firefighter Dean Milenkovic.

Milenkovic, 46, has two pending cases against him and is out on bond for both. In his more recent case, Milenkovic has been charged with two counts of aggravated possession of child pornography. His initial case included charges of felony grooming and possession of harmful material.

He is scheduled to be back in court on March 6.

ORLAND PARK — Status Date Set for Alleged 'Orland Ghost Rider'

Justin Jachimiec, whom police say is the wheelie-popping, police-fleeing motorcycle rider seen on YouTube, is scheduled to begin his trial in February.

Another status date has been set for Jan. 29.

PALOS - Judge Refuses Bond Hike For Man Who Reportedly Referenced Newtown School Massacre

A Cook County judge refused to raise the bond for a man who reportedly threatened police and referenced the Newton, Conn. school shooting just days after the massacre.

The judge did impose special conditions of 31-year-old Matthew Lynch's I-bond — which didn't require Lynch to post anything to get out of jail — during a hearing on Tuesday. Lynch must surrender any firearms, his FOID card and his passport. Lynch must also stay with his sister for the duration of the case and firearms aren't allowed in her home either.

The judge also ordered a psychiatric evaluation for Lynch, who is already reportedly seeing a mental health professional. He is scheduled to be back in court on Jan. 29.

PALOS — Attorneys Waiting on Evidence in Fatal DUI Case 

There is more evidence outstanding in the reckless homicide case against Sam Cafi, the Justice man charged with more than 100 felony counts in a fatal DUI.

Cafi, 29, pleaded not guilty in August and is out on a $1 million bond. 

He is scheduled to be back in court on Feb. 25 for a status hearing.
