Residents, Leaders to Ponder City’s Future at Meeting

Chicago Heights elected officials, residents, business owners and more are meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, to discuss the city's future. The meeting is part of the city's efforts to address residents' and the city's current and long-term issues

What should the city of Chicago Heights look like in the year 2030? You tell them. 

City leaders are asking residents to speak up at a special meeting Wednesday, July 24. The meeting is part of the city’s efforts with the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning to address current and longterm local issues for the city and its residents.

The meeting will take place at city hall, beginning at 6 p.m. Residents are encouraged to bring their ideas, friends and families to the event.

“No one cares about the future of Chicago Heights more than its residents,” said Mayor David Gonzalez, in a release. “I’ll be happy to see their ideas become a part of our vision as a city.”
