A Girl-Powered Week in Photos: Viewfinder

In honor of Women's History Month, are photo gallery features local women of many ages.

This week's Viewfinder is a special, featuring a range of photos of wonderful women in Chicago Heights. We're doing this in honor of Women's History Month, and we  encourage everyone to help us highlight the great women in our community.

Bloom Princesses

Bloom Township Youth & Family Services Department held a Princess Pampering Party on Friday, March 4.  The purpose of the event was to reach out and encourage self esteem in our young girls. “Princesses” were invited to come out and receive manicures, pedicures, hairstyles and makeovers.

Super Senior

Last week, Chicago Heights Patch featured our first Remarkable Resident, Audrey Gyger. Even though she's in her 70s, Audrey has shown she can still , traveling the Heights and keeping her peers in good spirits.

Educated in Etiquette

Then there were this week's Whiz Kids, a group of polite young ladies from Washington Junior High who chose to spend their time . Those girls will be graduating this weekend, so send a big "congratulations" their way!
