- Aug. 25

The Bloom Township Senior Department in cooperation with AgeOptions is offering a partnership to “Take Charge of Your Health.”

This series of six classes will be offered at the on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with the exception of the last class, which will be held on Friday, Sept. 30.

's Studio and Guild Artists present "Collective", an exhibit of the artists' recent work.

These artists have joined together to create this show, the product of the power of collective. Union Street Gallery Studio and Guild artists are from all over the Chicago Southland and Northwest Indiana region, and work in a variety of different media, techniques, and styles. In this exhibit you will see a wide range of work from impressionistic landscapes to digital abstractions.

- Aug. 28

As part of its yearlong centennial celebration, Franciscan St. James Health is hosting an Antique and Classic Car Show in the west parking lot of in Chicago Heights.

The St. James Health Classic Car Show will feature classic, antique and sports cars of all makes, models and years. St. James Health will present special awards to celebrate cars representing each quarter century of the hospital’s service to the community, in addition to best-of-show and other awards.
