PSC Honors Business Owner With Monteleone Award

recently honored Craig Stern, owner of Rogers Enterprises Inc. in Matteson, with the 2011 Michael R. Monteleone Community Service Award.

The award is given annually to a community member in the PSC district who has contributed in an extraordinary way to education through community service as either a volunteer or a community leader.

Century Old McEldowney Park Getting Cleanup

The is inviting residents and others to join a fall cleanup of , the town's oldest park, which is celebrating its 100th years old in 2011.

The park cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1 from 9a.m. to 2 p.m.  (The rain date is scheduled for the following Saturday, Oct. 8

56th Annual Park Forest Art Fair

The Park Forest Art Fair, which is the second oldest juried art fair in the Chicagoland area, returns to downtown Park Forest on Sept. 17-18 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

The finest artists in the Midwest show a variety of artworks including paintings, prints, photographs, ceramics, glass, wood, sculpture and fiber arts. The fair also includes many activities for children.
