D170 Jazz Band Honors MLK With ‘What a Wonderful World’

Chicago Heights just held its 17th annual Martin Luther King Jr. birthday celebration, and they couldn’t have done it without the District 170 Jazz Band.
The group of 6th to 8th graders serenaded guests with Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World” to help cap off the event, and so far, the reviews have been stellar.
“The district 170 jazz band sounded terrific today at the ceremony,” writes Patricia C.D. “Great performance.”
