Begining in September, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Chicago Heights (667 W. 8th Street) will offer "Godly Play" for Children and families who are interested in religious formation for their children.
This program, which is free-of-charge, is for ages 4 through sixth grade, and is based upon the Montessori educational method; it is open to members of the community as well as members of the parish, and no previous religious education is necessary. Godly Play uses props, toys, and tactile learning to help children express in story and wonder what they already know.
