Interest-Free Homes in Chicago Heights: Learn How to Get Yours
Habitat for Humanity is holding a special homeownership orientation on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Did you know you could possibly be paying less to own your own high quality home than you do right now for rent?
Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs is hosting a home ownership seminar on Jan. 25 at New Faith Baptist Church in Matteson to offer help with those in need of affordable housing.
The organization has been hard at work rehabbing homes across the area so that people who qualify can purchase them with an interest-free mortgage. These multi-bedroom homes all feature new appliances, an energy efficient furnace and "Low-E" windows, among other amenities. There are homes available in Chicago Heights, Park Forest, Hazel Crest and Lansing.
If you're in need of affordable housing, can pay an interest-free mortgage, and you're willing to work at least 400 volunteer hours, you may qualify.
New Faith Baptist Church is located at 25 Central Ave. in Matteson. The event runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
