The world is a dirty place and Chicago Heights officals realize that—but it doesn't have to be that way.

Officials are calling for residents' help in sprucing up the Chicago Heights community, for this year's citywide volunteer clean-up day.

The event, which takes place Saturday, June 8, will see residents working side-by-side to clean up the community. The event kicks off at 9 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. Attendees will meet at City Hall, 1601 Chicago Road.
