Patch Flicks: A Night of Free Food, Prizes and Natalie Portman

Head to the Chicago Heights Public Library Thursday evening for some Oscar-worthy awesomeness, paid for by Patch!

It may be a little known fact that the has been showing free movies on a big screen every other Thursday.

These aren't just any movies. They're the really good ones. I'm talking about Academy Award-nominated movies like 127 Hours and Field of Dreams.

But when Patch found out about the latest flick on the list, we had to get involved. No one should be deprived of the insanity that is Black Swan. Natalie Portman flipping her lid. Mila Kunis pushing her buttons. Freaky bird mutations. Wide red eyes. Crazy moms. Freaky bird mutations ... Oh yeah.

So here's what we're going to do. Patch will provide drinks, popcorn, pizza and movie candy for everyone who shows up. We will also be giving away Patch gear after the movie's over. If you can answer an easy trivia question about the movie, you'll get a sweet prize.

We're also going to give you the chance (if you want) to tell our other readers what you thought of the movie in front of our HD video camera.

But wait, there's more.

Whoever brings the most adult guests to the event gets a bag of Patch goodies, which includes a cool water bottle, pens, a nice canvas bag, a gift card and more! Here's the catch: every guest you bring has to sign in with their name and email address.

The movie will start at 5:30 p.m. sharp in the lower level of the Chicago Heights Public Library. Show up early so you can get signed in and pick up your free food!

Just a heads up to parents: Black Swan is rated R for strong sexual content, disturbing violent images, language and some drug use.

If you've already seen the movie, see it again. Why? Because you can get free stuff, chat with your Patch editor and hang out with a lot of awesome neighbors!

Kids, don't feel left out. Later this summer, Patch plans to sponsor another movie night for the whole family!
