Palos—Prison Escapee Sentenced for 2011 Bank Robbery—Kenneth Conley, 39, formerly of Tinley Park, has received 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to robbing a Homewood bank. He and another man escaped from a skyscraper prison in downtown Chicago in Dec. 2012, and was found in Palos Hills.

Oak Forest—Used Forklift Fraud Scheme Lands Former Oak Forest Businessman 3 Years—Previous Oak Forest business owner Bill Marr Jr. defrauded the former Palos Bank and Trust over $300,000—which he now has to pay back, according to the Sun-Times Media.

Mokena—Mokena Man Killed by Lightning Strike in Shelby County, IL—Jonathon D. Olisio was fishing with friends on a boat about 3:50 p.m. on  the Kaskaskia River near the Lake Shelbyville Dam when he was struck and killed by a bolt of lightning.

New Lenox—Area Woman Starts Petition to Halt Noisy Concerts—One really annoyed woman is starting a petition targeting the City of Joliet and future concerts by the Electric Daisy Carnival.
