The Chicago Heights Park Commissioner Jimmy Burnett and Ald. Wanda Rodgers came together to present their annual health fair and 3-on-3 Basketball Competition at King Park. There will also be live entertainment. The Chicago Heights Police Department will be helping out with security.

Drama Group Presents "Hot L Baltimore"

As our frequent arts and entertainment contributor   previously pointed out, Lanford Wilson’s 1970s award-winning, off-Broadway blockbuster The Hot L Baltimore.

The play is an awesome addition to the Chicago Heights Drama Group's milestone 80th season, and this is the final weekend of its run, so don't miss out!

Community Farmer's Market

If you haven't been yet, it's worth a look-see. The Community Farmer's Market, backed by the Chicago Heights City Council and Corner Market, is an avenue for vendors, farmers, growers, artisans, bakers and distributors. It's been going on all summer near the intersection of Vollmer and Dixie and will continue until Sept. 10.
