Where to Stay Warm In Chicago Heights

Chicago Heights is opening up warming centers for those who'd otherwise be stuck in the cold.

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for dangerously cold temperatures, and it's expected to last through Wednesday morning.

For those who don’t have the luxury of a heated home to stay at, the city is offering warming centers at the following locations:

  • Chicago Heights Police Department, 1601 South Halsted St.
  • Bloom Township Center, 425 South Halsted St.

The city is also advising to check on friends, family and neighbors—especially the elderly—during  the extreme cold.
