The Chicago Heights Water Department Construction Crew

A few words complimenting the Chicago Heights city government.

On Sunday, Nov. 27, a car ran into a fire hydrant across the street from my house. I called the police non-emergency number to report it because the hydrant was leaking.

Beacon Hill has a serious issue with fire hydrants, I assumed that this one would remain damaged for years as well. I am glad to report that today there was a new hydrant installed.

Someone came out and accessed the damage on Sunday or Monday. Then they called "Julie" and had the gas lines marked, then this morning the water department construction crew was out digging up the broken hydrant.

I would like to publicly thank the crew for there fast and efficient work. I would like to thank them for ordering a new hydrant for the one missing at the intersection of Adams and Beacon Boulevard.

The construction crew gets two thumbs up from me!
