The Habitat for Humanity Chicago South Suburbs is coming to Chicago Heights this May to celebrate 25 years of serving the south suburbs. The event, which is Friday, May 10, will take place at the Union Street Art Gallery, 1527 Otto Boulevard.

Dubbed Hardhats and High Heels Wine, Beer and Food Pairing, the event kicks off at 7 p.m. and will last until 10 p.m. During the event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase fresh, hand-rolled cigars, bid in a 'chance auction' and enjoy music from Heart to Heart.

The event is designed to raise money so that the organization can continue its work within the community. The organization said in a release their work is addressing 'the decline in home values caused by a glut of foreclosed and abandoned homes. Their work in Lansing, Park Forest and Chicago Heights is bringing a new sense of pride to many beleaguered neighborhoods.'
