Chicago Heights Helps Over 1,000 Kids Get Back to School

Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzales, city staff and volunteers helped run the successful event.

Mayor Gonzlez was joined by city staff and volunteers to help make the successful event possible.

Over 1,000 kids across Chicago Heights gathered at City Hall on Sunday for free school supplies, haircuts and dental check-ups just in time for the back to school season.

“It was great to see all the kids that were able to leave with school supplies,” Gonzalez said on the city website. “I just want to thank the staff and all the volunteers that helped us organize the event."
