Bloom Township High School District 206 Education Foundation Hosts Its Annual Dinner
On Thursday, November 8, the District 206 Education Foundation celebrated its annual dinner at Glenwoodie Golf Club. Fletcher N. Smith III, 1985 graduate of Bloom High School, was the keynote speaker.
On Thursday, November 8, 2012, the District 206 Education Foundation celebrated its annual dinner at Glenwoodie Golf Club.
Since 1992, the Foundation has provided enhanced educational opportunities for the District's students. Over the years, the Foundation has provided financial support for computer equipment and systems, science projects, faculty mini-grants, and re-establishing publication of the student newspapers.
The Foundation maintains an education endowment fund, an athletic endowment fund and a newly-established JROTC endowment fund that provides additional revenue streams for various projects at the schools.

At Thursday's event, the keynote speaker was Fletcher N. Smith III, a 1985 graduate of Bloom High School. Fletcher N. Smith III is the founder and owner of Blueprint Management Group, LLC, a sports management, marketing, and consulting group. Founded in 2007, Blueprint represents and manages the careers of professional athletes. Recently, Blueprint signed its first professional boxer, Semajay Thomas.
Mr. Smith is a 1989 graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (B.S., Marketing). He went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University in Chicago. Mr. Smith was admitted to the Bar in the State of Illinois and the District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
