Bomb Threat Forces Food 4 Less Evacuation (Update)

Update 6:30 p.m.

Food 4 Less reopened at around 3 p.m. after a brief bomb scare.

The Cook County bomb squad had been called but determined there wasn't a bomb in the grocery store, located at 1333 Western Ave. The store opened back up to customers a few hours after the initial call.

Customers and employees at Food 4 Less in Chicago Heights were evacuated Tuesday afternoon after a bomb threat was called in, witnesses said. Chicago Heights police and the Cook County bomb squad are investigating.
