Blood Drives and Book Buys: Announced

Teacher Mary Blachowicz was awarded a National Council of Jewish Women South Cook Section grant to purchase new books for her first-grade class at Washington-McKinley School.

Prairie State College's Forensics Team scored big at the Phi Rho Pi Region 4 Speech Tournament on March 18-19 at Moraine Valley Community College, with three members taking home gold medals and the team finishing third overall.

Prairie State College's Veterans Affairs Office gives veterans a supportive environment to aid them in their educational journey.

Veterans receive one-on-one counseling, advising and support throughout the entire admissions process. Additionally, veterans are automatically eligible for early registration and always receive in-district tuition rates regardless of where they live.

The 2011 recipient of the Dianne Masters Award, Michelle Paluch of Homer Glen, has been an avid supporter of the Crisis Center since 1992. Paluch  serves on the Crisis Center board of directors of which she has been a member since 1998. She has also served as board president from 2003-2005, dinner dance co-chair for eight years, and many other leadership positions.
