Chicago Heights Park District Celebrates Cinco de Mayo at Jirtle Park
The Chicago Heights Park District will host, 'Fiesta in the Park' Saturday, May 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Jirtle Park. The event will feature entertainment, food and fun for the entire family.
Chicago Heights residents looking to celebrate Cinco de Mayo need not go far, as the Chicago Heights Park District will host Fiesta at the Park on Saturday, May 4. The family focused celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. and will go until 3 p.m. at Jirtle Park, 2551 Union Avenue.
During the event, attendees will be able to take in live entertainment, folk dancers, pony rides and enjoy a bounce house. There will also be food vendors, free health screenings and free t-shirts to the first 300 entrants.
Should rain force a postponement of the event it will be moved to Sunday, May 5. If postponed, the event will take place at Jirtle Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m on May 5.
