City, Salvation Army Team Up to Help Residents Dry Out

Chicago Heights and the Salvation Army are offering Chicago Heights residents cleaning and drying supplies to help recover from the recent rains and flooding that hit the area. The supplies can be picked up at City Hall.

Chicago Heights residents that are still trying to dry out their homes following the flooding and heavy rains last week are getting a little help from the city and the Salvation Army. Now, through while supplies last, the pair is giving out free cleaning supplies and mops to residents whose homes were damaged during the heavy rains.

The items in the cleaning package include supplies designed to help residents repair flood damage, dry out and pick up any lingering wet spots in the home.

The cleaning and drying packages are available at the Chicago Heights City Hall.
