Excessive Heat Advisory, Check on Your Neighbors

Temperatures are expected to remain in the triple digits Thursday.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for the Chicago Heights area. Temperatures are expected to stay high at least into the early afternoon, with a heat index as high as 110 degrees.

Police departments (and Patch users) are urging residents to check on elderly neighbors who may be experiencing difficulties due to the heat.
