Heights Veterans Honored at Memorial Ceremony
Veterans past and present were personally thanked by city and government officials.
Sen. Toi Hutchinson and Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzalez lead the way in a ceremony Monday dedicated to the men and woman who’ve served our county.
“Everything we have is safeguarded because of the sacrifices of these individuals,” Mayor Gonzalez said at the ceremony.
The event was held at the city’s Veterans Mound, located at Chicago Road and Lincoln Highway.
