Why Go: The New Faces Theatre group will present this Broadway hit based on the short stories of the 19th Century playwright Anton Chekhov combined with the short stories of contemporary comic genius Neil Simon. The play is a series of humorous, affectionate and very human sketches that are seamlessly woven together through the eyes of the writer.

Where/When: March 12 at Willis Tower 233 S Wacker Dr, Chicago
Why Go: Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower is honoring St. Patrick’s Day by offering free admission all day Saturday to anyone whose first, middle or last name is Patrick.

Where/When: March 11-12 at the Union Street Gallery, 1527 Otto Blvd, Chicago Heights
Why Go: Of the over 250 entries submitted from all over the country, only 41 were chosen by the juror to exhibit. The exhibit features a number of complex and intricate works of art including several dynamic installations that engage the viewer.

3RD ANNUAL OAK FOREST PUB AND RESTAURANT OPEN HOUSE
Where/When: 11 Oak Forest restaurants and pubs (see web site for complete list) will host open houses from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday, March 12.
Why Go: Who needs a designated driver? Free shuttle buses will be stopping at all 11 locations all night long. A dial-a-ride bus also will stop at the Metra train station at 159th Street and Cicero Avenue and the Best Western Oak Forest Hotel.
Pricing: All 11 locations are having specials on food and drinks.
Where/When: Lincoln-Way North High School in Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12.
Why Go: Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, a trio of Irish lasses performing Irish classics. Last in a series of performances sponsored by the school district.
Pricing: $20 adults, $15 for students and seniors
