Rain and Storms: Travel by Boat in Chicago Heights

Rain and thunderstorms to continue through 3 p.m.

If you've looked out a window, you may notice the need for a kind soul to build a neighborhood ark.

The rain and thunderstorms are expected to go through 3 p.m., with temperatures hovering around 61 degrees. Winds are between 15 and 20 mph and we're at about 3.14 inches of precipitation as of 9:55 a.m., according to The Weather Channel.

Travers Avenue, Division Street and Route 30 all have flooding in some areas, so drive carefully. There was also a traffic light out at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Joe Orr Road as of 9:45 a.m.
