UPDATED: Blueberry Hill Wins Most-Loved Pancakes

Let us know who offers the best flapjacks in the area, and we'll present them with the soon-to-be-coveted "Patch Readers' Choice Winner" sticker.

UPDATE (May 9, 12:01 a.m.)

We asked, and you answered.

Congratulations to in Homewood for winning our Readers' Choice poll. According to you, they have the most-loved pancakes in the area.

_______________________________________

If you don't serve pancakes, you don't serve breakfast.

Just about every breakfast-serving restaurant in the area offers flapjacks to hungry customers. Many eateries serve them several ways, sometimes with special toppings, as entrees, or with nothing on them, as sides.

The Chowdown Showdown is back and we want to know which restaurant in the Chicago Heights and H-F area serves the best pancakes.

Leave a review for any of the restaurants below by visiting their Patch listing. You can also vote in our poll.

Vote for your favorite! This poll closes at the end of the day on Sunday, May 6.

FLAVOR! I love Blueberry Hill (I really, really do) but Flavor offers the most amazing pancake and waffle flavors (sweet potato! red velvet!) with delicious butters/spreads for each kind. So delicious!

Egg & I pancakes used to be good. They changed the recipe, I think. They now are tasteless and spongy. Blue Berry Hill has the BEST pancakes, with all kinds of yummy toppings.

FLAVOR by far has the best pancakes! Red velvet, jack daniels brownie, peach cobbler, and the list goes on! We're not talking about "toppings" we're talking about FLAVOR!
I am a breakfast conneissure, I travel all around every city town and village for those recommended by others as a possible challenge to FLAVOR. None have come close.

Unless I am reading it wrong or the poll changed, according to what I see in the poll...Skyline Restaurant had 36 votes for a 29% share, while Blueberry Hill had 31 votes and a 25% share. Now if my math is correct, 36 votes and 29% share are higher than 31 votes and 25% share, so Skyline Restaurant would be the winner of the best pancakes in the area.

WTF WHERES SKYLINE??
Christopher Paicely (Editor) May 9, 2012 at 10:01 pm
Hey all,
Because of the many complaints about the polling system on Patch, we took a new approach in 2012. The winner is determined based on votes, comments and user reviews on the business's Patch listing. That's why we included the links to each restaurant's listing. One review is worth the same as five votes. Blueberry Hill had the most new reviews combined with having 31 votes, and therefore won overall.

I do not like Blueberry Hill. I've tried them twice and both times was quite disappointed by the food. And they are terribly overpriced. I have to admit I did not try the pancakes. Now Skyline....they ROCK! Best breakfast food, best tasting, reasonable prices and I have had their pancakes and they were surprisingly good. I'm not usually a pancake fan but I really enjoyed Skyline's

Skyline is in Chicago Heights near Bloom High School. I think it is on 10th St.?? (not sure about that.)
