The ROOFTOP Summer Music Series at the Museum!

The 2014 ROOFTOP Summer Music Series at the Joliet Area Historical Museum!

This summer, a different live performance is featured each month on the Joliet Area Historical Museum's Outdoor Rooftop Terrace.  Doors open at 6:45 pm, and performers take the stage at 7:30 pm.  Beverages (Soda, beer, wine, water) are available for purchase (coffee and snacks are free).  Only $8.00 for Museum members and Students with valid I.D. or $10 for General Public!

Check out this year's excellent line-up;

May 15th - THE KINSEY REPORT: The Kinsey Report plays scalding contemporary blues with exactly that sort of intuitive teamwork only brothers Donald, Ralph, and Ken Kinsey, along with Nick Bird on guitar can create!  Over the course of four critically acclaimed albums (Two for Alligator and two for Pointblank) and endless national touring, the Kinsey brothers have blazed a modern trail of powerful, original radio-friendly music that grabs both die-hard blues fans and rockers who love supercharged guitar and boneshaking vocals.

June 12th - SHAWN HOLT and the TEARDROPS; Shawn carries the tradition of his father, world-renowned bluesman Magic Slim's tradition with the Teardrops, playing a mix of high energy as well as traditional blues.

July 10th - STRUNG OUT BAND; Strung Out is Chicago's most unique classic rock band.  Their dynamic blend of guitars, cello, violin, keyboards, bass, and percussion, topped off with outstanding vocalists create an unforgettable sound.

August 14th - CLASSICAL BLAST!  A unique 4-pc band dedicated to bringing the classical arts back to mainstream rock & pop music.  Classical Blast are classically trained musicians who love to rock and believe in the power of the arts.

September 11th - SOUL MOTION; Soul Motion is here to wash your blues away and put the groove in your feet by tapping the music of the soul, blues, R&B, and Rock & Roll greats.  You'll hear hits from the likes of James Brown, The Impressions, Joe Cocker, and more!
