Bloom to Hold School Walk for Diabetes

Bloom High School students and staff will participate April 14-15 in a School Walk for Diabetes fundraiser.

The two-day event, sponsored by the American Diabetes Association, is an educational fundraiser that also teaches students about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.

Bloom teacher Scott Schulz, fundraiser organizer, said students and staff members will walk during physical education classes in honor of people who have been diagnosed with diabetes.  Walkers will solicit donation pledges that will be contributed to the American Diabetes Association, Schulz said.

Parents and community members who wish to volunteer to assist with the event may contact Schulz at 708-473-2252.
