See the Heights Tree Lighting Ceremony

If you missed Wednesday's ceremony, here's the next best thing.

Residents gathered in front of city hall on Wednesday night with Chicago Heights Mayor David Gonzalez and city staff to ring in the holiday season with this year’s annual tree lighting ceremony.

The School District 170 Choir and Bloom Township District 206 Choir were the stars of the event, singing “South of the Border,” and “Carol of the Bells,” among other holiday classics.

“It was a real treat hearing our young children and our high school students singing Christmas carols outside City Hall,” Mayor Gonzalez said. “I appreciate the help from both districts. The night would not have been the same without the kids.”
