Is your file cabinet a little frightening?

We can help.   File cabinets can be a great tool for productivity, if you use them properly.

Make sure you can actually get to your file cabinet – in many offices I organize, there are boxes, chairs or bags in front of the cabinet, making it impossible to get to the file cabinet or open a drawer.  Clear the path.

If your file cabinet drawers are stuck or broken, it may be time to invest in a new file cabinet.  Consider it an investment in your productivity and time management.

Dedicate the bottom file cabinet drawer to long term papers, like mortgage and home purchase papers, and annual income taxes.  Review the other drawers regularly, and purge the papers that can go.  In addition, keep only files in your file cabinets.  Office supplies, obsolete office equipment or electronics have got to go.
