Marian men's lacrosse topples LaPorte, Ind.

MEN'S LACROSSE- Marian 12, LaPorte 7

Zach Henry tallied five goals and Ryan Thier scored three times to pace host Marian Catholic to a 12-7 decision over LaPorte, Ind., on Monday. Craig Zavesky scored twice for the Spartans (8-6), who also got goals from Dominic Guarino (assist) and Garrett Zavesky. Spartan assists came from Mike Bush, Austin Konzen and Chris Bartak, while goalie Sean Kelly totaled seven saves.

WOMEN'S LACROSSE- Benet 11, Marian 4

Marian Catholic dropped an 11-4 decision to Benet Academy on Monday at Benedictine University, despite two goals and an assist from Shelby Cosman. Sara Pustai and Olivia Giannetti also scored for the Spartans (8-10), while Christine Diluia added an assist.

Kirsten Videka totaled six saves in goal for Marian.
