'The Hobbit': Trailer, Showtimes and Ticket Information

Before the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, there was 'An Unexpected Journey.' Find area showtimes and ticket information for "The Hobbit", which premieres at 12:01 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14.

Before Frodo and Samwise traveled to Mount Doom to destroy the one ring to rule them all, there was Bilbo Baggins and his unexpected journey. 

This year, director Peter Jackson and the rest of the crew that brought J.R. Tolkien's 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy to life, returns to Middle Earth to bring, 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' to the big screen in the first part of a new trilogy centering on Bilbo Baggins, a group of dwarves, their trip to The Lonely Mountain and their quest to retrieve the dwarves' treasure from the fire-breathing dragon, Smaug.
