At Least 3 People Shot in Chicago Heights Monday

Police have not released the names and ages of the victim, or a motive.

One person is reported in critical condition, and three have been treated and released after gunshots rained down in Chicago Heights Monday night.

Chicago Heights Police told ABC7 that three people were outside around 11:20 p.m. Monday, when an unknown gunman sprayed automatic bullets down the 500 block of Concord Drive, ABC7 reports.

The victims were taken to St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields. Hospital officials reported up to five patients—four male and one female—two with graze wounds. 

Authorities have not released the names and ages of the victims. No word on if a suspect has been taken into custody. Illinois State Police investigators were still on the scene around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday.
