'Just a Crack Pipe, Sir'

Gabriel Hidalgo, 45, of the first block of 19th Place, Chicago Heights, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a report. She also had an active Cook County warrant for driving under the influence and was cited for improper lane use and improper equipment.

Hidalgo was riding a bicycle at about 8:57 p.m. in the middle of 12th Street without a headlight at night. Police said she was blocking traffic.

When asked if she had anything illegal, she allegedly said "Just a crack pipe, sir." Police patted her down and found the pipe and a plastic bag with 0.1 grams of a white substance that field tested positive for cocaine.

Hidalgo was due on June 29 in Cook County court.
