Chicago Heights Homeowner Shoots Teen-Ager in His Kitchen

Chicago Heights Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Tuesday.

Police are investigating a fatal shooting Tuesday morning in which a Chicago Heights man shot a teenager he said was breaking into his home, police said.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 300 block of N. Boston Street discovered 18-year-old Anterrio L. Hall unresponsive and lying in the grass in the back yard, according to a release.

Chicago Heights paramedics attempted to revive Hall, of the 1900 block of Adams Street, and took the teen to St. James Hospital, police said.

However, their attempts were unsuccessful and Hall was pronounced dead upon his arrival, according to the release.

The homeowner told investigators he was in the bathroom when he heard a sound of breaking glass coming from his kitchen, police said.
