Burglar Busts Door In With Rock: Blotter

Police were alerted to the burglary by a motion detector alarm.

A burglar used a large rock to break into a Chicago Heights home, according to police.

Cops say someone smashed the doorknob off the rear door of a home in the 200 block of Country Club Rd. around 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 27.

Police were immediately alerted to the break-in via a motion detector alarm on the back door, according to reports, but by the time they arrived, the burglar was gone.

Among the items stolen were an iMac desktop computer and jewelry.
