Chicago Heights Radio Shack Robbed at Gunpoint

Police were able to recover some of the property after tracing it to a Park Forest residence.

Two men walked away with cell phones, DVD players and other electronics after they robbed a Chicago Heights Radio Shack at gunpoint Friday afternoon, Sun-Times Media reports.

The men walked into the store around 12:30 p.m, telling customers and two employees to remove their phones. The robbers then filled a laundry bag with the phones. They also took video recorders and DVD players from the store, according to police.

The two men then ordered everyone into the bathroom and left the store, according to Sun-Times Media.

Afterwards, police traced one of the phones to a residence in Park Forest. Police said they searched the house, which was void of any people, and recovered some of the items stolen.

No arrests have been made, police said.
