Cops Searching for 'Armed and Dangerous' Man Wanted in Shooting

A Matteson man believed responsible for shooting a Beverly man multiple times remains at large. Police are asking the public to be alert.

Chicago police are on the lookout for a Matteson man described as “armed and dangerous” in connection with a Beverly shooting on Wednesday, Sun-Times Media reports.

The alleged shooter is 29-year-old David Twine. Police say he may be driving a black 2012 Cadillac SRX with Illinois license plate P24450, according to the report.

The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. May 15 in the foyer of an apartment building on the 9900 block of South Walden Parkway in Beverly, police said. A man in his 30s was shot multiple times and transported to Advocate Christ Hospital. He was in critical, but stable condition as of last night, according to Ald. Matt O'Shea.

It is believed that the shooting was not a random act and that the victim and suspect knew each other, O'Shea said. Police believe that the shots were fired after an argument between the two men.

Police are asking anyone with information about Twine to call the Chicago Police Area South Detective Division at 312-747-8271.
