Dead Woman Found Face Down in the Snow in Chicago Heights

Police are investigating the death.

The Chicago Heights Police Department was called at 1:26 p.m. today about a body found lying face down in the snow.

Upon arriving at a residence in the 1300 block of Otto Blvd, police saw the body of an unidentified white female half-covered with snow on the ground next to the garage, according to a press release from Sgt. Thomas Rogers. 

The Illinois State Police Crime Scene Unit and South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force were called to process the scene and assist with the investigation, respectively, police said.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office will conduct an autopsy Saturday, Jan. 21, to determine the cause of death, according to police.
