While at the Memorial Day service in Chicago Heights Monday, photojournalist Mary Compton noticed the firefighters weren't at the ceremony. They were battling a fire at a house near their fire station, at Joe Orr Road and Sangamon, which broke out when someone tried lighting the grill on the porch with gasoline.
